Sunny weather makes a good mood

Being back in England I have got more time again to go to different places, read books, meeting friends(often for a meal) and watching Wimbledon! It is really nice to see how everybody is excited about tennis and it can be really interesting and suspenseful.
We saw Nadal vs. Brown and Brown won surprisingly. Another interesting game was Serena Williamson vs. Heather Watson. Heather Watson failed but she played very well! She nearly won. That was a really good game and it showed: anything can happen in Wimbledon!

It makes a lot of fun to watch Wimbledon and after a good game everyone talks about it.
I started a new book which is called "The unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry". It's about a man who gets a letter in which an old friend of him tells him that she has got cancer. He wants to help her but he doesn't know how. He writes her back that she should wait. He thinks that as long as he is wandering she will stay alive. The book is written by Rachel Joyce and it became one of several "Sunday Times Bestsellers". I started it yesterday and it seems very interesting!

It's about two sisters which don't get along with each other very well. They are so different and after their mother's death they don't spend much time together any more. One sister who is travelling around the world commits suicide. The other one is shocked and can not understand why. So she travels the same route and wants to know why she did it. The book is really thrilling and after I started reading it I couldn't stop. It was so well written and really good for all different age groups.
I'm really looking forward to getting my Kindle. I have the feeling that many people owe one. I think it is really good when you are travelling because when I travelled to Aberdeen I had 3 books in my case and after I finished all of them I needed to carry useless weight with me. So I think I can use it a lot in the next two months and also afterwards.
Next week my boyfriend is coming and I'm really excited about showing him around. I think he will like it here. We will also travel to Oxford. Oxford is recommended in my travel guide and it is famous for it's history and of course it's university.
I'm also looking forward to present him all the things I like in this area.
In August I will travel to Dalgetty (near Edinburgh), to London and to Norfolk. That would be really interesting.
I made a to-do-list for things I want to visit here and Oxford and Edinburgh were defenitly on my list.
I also want to travel to Stratford-upon-Avon and I want to see Chatsworth. It is a National Trust property so I will see if I get to experience it while I'm here.
Stay tuned:)

Loch Earn- Camping for Sailing

Our weekend at Loch Earn   Loch Earn Now I am already 1 month away from home. How the time rushes! I am happy to make all these experiences. We went camping to "Loch Earn" which is a lake. In Scotland one calls a lake a "loch". The English people have difficulties to pronunce that word, but for Scotish people and German it is easy. The kids sailed and therefore we camped all together there. I must admit: This was my first real camping experience. Since then I only camped at festivals like "Rock am Ring". The proper camping is more luxurious than our party-camping. I had a thick, comfy blowing-up matress and also a cushion(!). We had warm showers with seperate cabins and we had enough electricity. That was really good. My host family are camping-experts so they bought everything we need for cooking, drinking, etc. At our first day it was so windy. We managed to build our tents up and as soon as we were inside it started to rain! What a luck! The ...

Inchcolm Abbey and the Royal Gallery

A lonely island next to the city centre- Inchcolm   This Saturday we took the ferry and went to Inchcolm Abbey. It's a beautfiul island in the Firth of Forth in Scotland. From Edinburgh we drove only 15 minutes to get the ferry and it cost 16 pounds to get to the island and back. Your first thought is that "Wow. This is quit expensive", but it was really worth going on the island! The tour was guided so the speaker told us a lot about the history of the 2 finished bridges and the one which is still in progress at the moment. It was really interesting to hear all about the bridges the railway bridge is for example now Scotland's sixth world heritage site. Then we arrived at the island which is cared for by Historic Scotland. On the island there is an abbey from the 12th century which was built by King David the First. The abbey and it's grounds are fully open to the public and it was so nice to wander around. There are a lot of birds on the island. It...

First Day

Start of my journey- Everything new My journey started on 6th May. I travelled by Eurostar to Bruxelles and from there straight to Loughborough. We came to Bruxelles and it was very busy there. Many people were running in different directions. My parents and me had enough time to spend some at a Häagen Dazs Café-quite expensive! But after a coffee americano/ cappuccino and some delicious Häagen Dazs ice-cream(banana/caramel i had to say "Goodbye". It was a sad situation and me and my mother cried (only a little bit!) before I was totally on my own. I managed the tour to London St. Pancras and from threre I had only 30 minutes to catch the East Midlands train to Loughborough. There were some trouble so I arrived 25 minutes later than I planned. But everything turned out fine. Judith catched me up and we drove home to East Leake. A little village with a supermarket, a pub, a butcher, some cafés, a vet, more churches and so on and so forth. She cooked me a perfect meal with...
